Honesty

Real honesty is the willingness to confront what doesn’t work about our lives.

The courage to move aside thoughts like:
“Everything is fine, and it’s improving.”
“I’m doing the best I can.”
“There’s nothing I can do about that.”
“There’s lots of other parts of my life that work, it’ll be fine if this continues.”

If you want to magic in your life, you will have to confront what doesn’t work. Without feeling bad and without judgement. Simply acknowledging how things are, without opinions, gives an access to altering things.

Just for today, be honest about your life. You don’t have to tell anyone. It isn’t about telling yourself that you suck or things are bad.

Change starts with telling the truth about how things are now.

Pro tip: Start with something small, like a closet or a friend you’ve been out of touch with for no reason.
