I was flipping through various musings, looking for what is worth saying and what is worth your attention. Instead, I wrote this for you:
We live in interesting times. With good fortune, our challenges will become historic moments that will live far beyond any of us. And as history is written so often by the winners, our todays will someday be enshrined as cornerstones of a future that will be someone else’s todays.
And so what can we do now, and today, and this week? Well, I’ve got an idea:
Let’s live today like there’s a tomorrow. Let’s live today like tomorrow we will have the opportunity to reap the benefits of today. Let’s pass these times tinkering and playing and designing and laboring.
And when tomorrow comes, and the sun comes out, we’ll all be a little bit ahead of where we are today.
Bertrand Russell said “the only thing that will redeem mankind is cooperation” and he was far smarter than me.
Just for today, let’s put one foot in front of the other and keep the faith.
The people of tomorrow are counting on us to do the million little things that add up to a big world that works for all of us.
